FRED WOODS est un artiste québécois, auteur en 2013 d’un premier album profondément ancré dans l’héritage du songwriting et teinté d’une atmosphère rock évoquant PJ Harvey ou encore Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. Créant un monde bien à lui et tentant d’aller au-delà des limites du folk contemporain, FRED WOODS impose un univers singulier, intimiste et mélancolique, toujours teinté d’une puissance contenue. Le timbre chaleureux et envoutant de sa voix nous emmène dans une ambiance éthérée qui nous plonge dans une douce léthargie, mais toujours teintée d’une puissance contenue. Sur scène, accompagné de ses musiciens, FRED WOODS nous emporte dans cet univers dual, à la fois sombre et lumineux, où la douce mélodie des instruments acoustiques vient se mêler à de puissantes envolées sonores. Son premier album „Documenta“,  est sorti en Europe le 11 octobre 2014, il est disponible sur toutes les plateformes de téléchargements…

Fred Woods is a Quebec artist, author in 2013 of a first album  rooted in the legacy of the songwriting and tinged with a rock atmosphere, although influenced by the minimalism. Creating a world of its own and trying to go outside of the boundaries of contemporary folk, FRED WOODS impose a singular, intimate and melancholic world, always tinged with a contained power. On stage, accompanied by his musicians, FRED WOODS  takes us in this universe, at once dark and luminous, where the sweet  sounds of acoustic instruments mingles with powerful soaring sounds.
